Sustainable period products direct to your door

Midlothian Council is committed to supporting dignified access to period products in the most accessible ways possible.  These products are available free at a number of sites in Midlothian, these can be found on the PickUpMyPeriod app available from Google Play and App Store.

We understand that it is not always possible, due to personal circumstances, to be able to physically pick up these products.  That’s why we are running this pilot, to learn from a home delivery model.  We are also committed to being Carbon Neutral by 2030 so we want to be able to support you to use recyclable, reusable and environmentally-friendly products.

We have joined up with Hey Girls, a local social enterprise based in the Lothians, to make this happen.  We have limited finances for the pilot, so as it develops we will make changes based on the lessons learned.

We hope that you are able to make informed choices about what products suit you and the environment best. This will also help us consider what else to stock at locations in Midlothian.
